Diverting 100% of American military, veteran, and foreign spending to HHS would increase the budget by approximately 1/3, from about $1.7T to around $2.5T. The idea that “war” could fund universal government healthcare is nonsense. Why don’t you say “I want to spend less on defense and more on healthcare?”
