Decentmemes Logo Contest Winner Announcement & looking for Decentmemes Curators!

Hey everyone!

I know it's been a long time since we ran the Logo contest but it was not easy to choose a winner among all the amazing entries. We've had a lot of back and forth with @netuoso and some other Steemians and in the end we decided to go with @rubencress' entry! Congratulations! We will contact you shortly request the Logo in some appropriate sizes for the website!

A prize reward of 147 SBD will be sent to you for this amazing Logo! Thank you!

Now onto the Application form for curators of @decentmemes!

We are going to start off by looking for 3 curators for @decentmemes entries, here is what you need to do for a chance to be selected.

Let us know why you'd be a good choice as a good curator for memes.
Add a meme you create yourself to show us that you have what it takes to create memes yourself and that you have a sense of humor! ;) (Use a meme on decentmemes.com and paste it in your application comment)

That's pretty much it, but make sure you have the time daily to curate memes. There will be three of you to start out with and this is what will be your daily activity.

Curate memes that are original. What this means is basically memes that haven't been used all too much in the past on decentmemes.
In the beginning as there might not be that many entries yet we will be a lot more free to curate memes that are fitting to the background image and used appropriately.
As you know they don't always have to be funny, as long as they are well done, interesting, clever, fresh (relating to news and current happenings).
Memes related to Steem content will get extra votes in the beginning.

Some of the best ones on a daily basis will be resteemed with the @decentmemes account and will be curated extra by me and others (make sure to follow @decentmemes as readers/curators)!

The rewards will be based off of curation rewards, shared equally among the workload the curators do. There will be a discord channel where the curators can go over memes and discuss things in more details with me and the developer @netuoso. We are looking forward to working together with you to make decentmemes.com a great place to go to for your daily dosage of memes!

So if you think you have what it takes to become a meme curator, write down your application in the comments of this post - and don't forget to include a meme of your own!

We will be curating good applications whether they make it into the curation team or not!

Hey memeworld,

The first reason of I want to be a meme curator is I love memes and long time 9gagger. Checking memes are my daily routine.
When I was not on my computer, I can check everything from phone so I could be available like 15 hours a day mostly.
I think one of the important part of being curator is knowledge about steem game and I know I'm good at it but still tryin to improve myself and one of the best way of improvin my self is curating memes. In my opinion with memes you can learn everything that floats on the platform.

ps: If I have not even been selected good luck keep up the good work.

I hereby put my application as a meme curator of decentmemes.I have always loved memes,creating and sharing them.

I am happy to finally get a job or post opening that is as fun as curating memes...this is how awesome Steemit is.

I have enough time to curate memes aa i always do this on other meme sites.

I'll be a good choice because I put the me in memes and other lame jokes. If I can judge my own jokes, I sure can judge others.
On a serious note: I have a good memory and I can tell if a meme is original or not. I can skip gym to judge meme.

Self Sales Pitch

I'll be a good candidate because I understand how meme platforms work and what curators' job is. It's not about imposing your sense of humour, although you need a good one, but it's about being honest and encouraging good memes.

I can definitely help you out not only as a curator but also as a meme consultant and advisor.

Why im a good choice : Don't know , i just spent all my time on my pc , watching 9Gag , or some other memes / video / or content on steemit , in same time i create my own content , some time some memes With Decent Memes or dmania or just for participating to the memechallenge
i have for project to be the French gaming ambassador (if i can) and i think its nice first experience to be curator

Here is my application:

I spend a lot of time on dmania and other meme sites looking at memes and trying to find new meme ideas; I am fluent in English as demonstrated by previous comments on your posts; I have enough spare time everyday to do curation; I have a dedicated second account for posting memes :)

Unfortunately decentmemes doesn't post the meme so I took a screenshot of it after pressing publish which remains grayed out indefinitely. I encountered this problem many times in the past.

I'd be down to curate for decentmemes, been wanting to get a hold of you for quite awhile about doing it. I'm on here quite a bit throughout the day since my medical issues are still present, so beyond posting my own content I have quite a bit of free time for curating. I'm pretty sure you know I have a sense of humor, but I guess I'll submit some half assed memes for your enjoyment for my application.
