Conscientious Insubordination (An Original Poem)

Oppressive , Exploitative , Detached and Drunk ,

Your power games are unjust , all of which I debunk ,

Your rule of law theory is all but a farce ,

The select pursuit of justice , being the greatest of its flaws ,

Why ! Is it insubordinate of me ? You say ,

That I refuse to intimidate the poor , while the powerful stay ,

That I treat people as many within and some above the law ,

So that the innocent find no respite while the abusers are sheltered by law,

This mockery of justice I refuse to partake in ,

And choose to rebel in the service of the poor and general public .
