Oscar fish with the Latin name Astronotus ocellatus is a type of freshwater ornamental fish that is widely kept in aquariums. Oscar fish is a type of ornamental fish that belongs to the cichlid fish family such as the Louhan Fish. Because this Oscar fish is also a type of ornamental fish that is quite aggressive. Oscar fish are wild animals, aka predators that live a lot in the Amazon river. They prey on crabs, shrimp and small fish to survive. Even though it sounds scary, these fish have interesting patterns, colors and body shapes. Oscar fish live in rivers with acidic water, even so these fish are very tolerant of all types of water conditions. In their natural habitat and aquarium, this fish requires a water temperature between 26o to 25o Celsius for optimal life. Minnows, pellets, centipedes, water fleas, Hong Kong caterpillars, crickets, shrimp. This fish can live 10 to 20 years and this fish is very good to be kept in an aquarium
