☠️ Is There an After Life ☠️
This would have to be one of the greatest questions to me, and can cause some great debates.
Is there really an after life?
Well throughout our history the majority of civilizations, both still in existence and ancient civilizations certainly believed in the after life.
With so many people believing in it, it's well worth discussing.
The ancient Egyptians certainly believed in the after life, and when they died is was just a transition in to the next realm where one would live eternally.
They has all sorts of ceremonies and beliefs to help guide the deceased person on their journey to the after life.
The Egyptians even mummified animals to go with the deceased person to the after life so the deceased person would have food to eat.
src
Also when you look at the tribes of the amazon, they also believe in an after life.
The tribes of the amazon make use of a powerful psychotropic drug call Ayahuasca, used during ceremonies and rituals.
Many other users of Ayahuasca claim to have been taken on a spiritual journey also, but this may be nothing more than the power of the mind.
But these accounts may be true due to the trance like state it can place you in.
src
There are many people who have claimed to glimpse the after life during near death experiences, but maybe it's just the power of the mind as we all know how powerful some dreams can be.
No one could ever possibly know if there is an after life or not. After all that's why it's called the after life, as we have left this world and there is no coming back.
Now I'm not a religious person, it's just not me. I claim the rights of the enlightenment.
But I do believe there must be some kind of afterlife.
Now what I believe is not that we go to heaven or hell, no my belief is quite different from the norm.
I do think the Egyptians are on to something, I believe we just transfer in to another realm. But not just humans rather all living creatures.
This process of transferring in to another realm is just us transferring into another spiritual journey.
☠️ Why I Believe in After life ☠️
Well this really stems from what we have learned through the minds of our greatest scientists.
All scientists will tell you that energy can never be created or destroyed. This is one of my favorite if not favorite discovery science has given us.
It comes from the first law of thermodynamics, the law of conservation of energy.
This law strictly states that energy can never be created and can never be destroyed, it can only ever be transferred.
src
So knowing that this is the case let's look at ourselves.
Energy is created both out of the birth of our solar system and the constant stream of energy that comes from the sun throughout our lives, now that energy is transferred into plants which use the minerals in the ground and the energy from the sun to grow.
These plants are full of energy and mammals eat those plants so the energy in now transferred to those mammals.
Then we eat the plants and mammals and turn that into energy.
Now if energy can not be created nor destroyed, then where does all that energy which makes us human go when we pass away.
Now is can't just disappear.
They reckon the average human will produce about 100 watts of energy while resting.
So when we pass away that energy must go somewhere.
I believe that the energy which makes us human transfers in to another spiritual realm, where we continue to live forever free of the pain and suffering out physical bodies have caused us.
This is where users of psychotropic drugs may actually get a glimpse of the after life, as during their trance like state maybe it is a near death experience. Where the majority of their energy leaves there body and is transferred to another realm.
Like I said it's really difficult to know for sure, but I do believe in the after life based on the first law of thermodynamics
What are your thoughts on the after life?
Do you agree with me or disagree?
Do you agree with me but for different reasons?

I'll resteem this so my mate Dr Douglas sees it. He loves these types of discussions.
I believe there is an afterlife. I've been in several car accidents and my heart has stopped while I've been in the ambulance on the way to hospital. One time I was viewing the scene from above like a third person observing what was going on and the other time I was dead for a lot longer and I moved on to somewhere else.
I can't say it was heaven or hell and I didn't see any bright lights but it felt real at the time. The first time I tried DMT I was catapulted into that place & I had a meaningless OOBE experience. I had an overwhelming sense of Dejavu but I didn't take much from the experience.
The next time I tried DMT I had that familiar OOBE feeling before I fully broke through and then I was hurled into another realm that was just as real (sometimes in hindsight it seems more-so) than this one. I'd need several pages of text to even begin to convey what that was like.
I've had Aya a few times (DMT being one component of the mixture) and it was similar but a lot more earthly feeling and not quite as intense. I never had a really large dose though, so a bigger dose would have been like dying for sure.
I know all those experiences can be explained in a purely chemical context and the neurotransmitters responsible have all been identified but those experiences (The DMT, AYA and OOBE's) all seemed real to me.
I believe in life after death.

Thanks for the resteem m8 :)
Wow it sounds like you have had some crazy experiences in your life.
Yeah DMT is another psychotropic which can take you on that spiritual journey.
It is hard to tell if they take us to that other realm or if they just open up pathways in the brain which would never otherwise get used.
I think it's one of the greatest debates.
Would love to read about these experiences some time :)
I haven't had any of these experience you mentioned, but when I look at it from a scientific stand point I do believe there must be an after life. Maybe we live eternally free of the body or maybe we endlessly travel on a never ending cycle of life and death. If you believe in the multiverse theory then the second must be true.

We don't get to decide what's true; we only get to discern what's true.

I do believe, if we are here just in this realm, then what a waste.
This is one reason we started out 2 new projects, this old world is pretty crazy and there is just way to much stuff us smart folks don't understand. Heck we still don't know what the pyramids were used for or how they build all that cool old stuff back then.
Plus Coonfoot has been there, seems one of the rednecks got his truck stuck in mud up to the windows and only Coonfoot's wrecker could get him out. He brought back a Tee shirt as proof, said I was there.
Great topic, one that folks can go a million different ways and no one can say they are wrong for sure.

Yeah there is just way too much we don't understand about our world and ourselves.
Haha don't get me started on the pyramids, bloody love that ancient aliens documentary.
Tell old Coonfoot next time he has to bring both of us a t shirt back too lol.
Yeah this topic has just endless possibilities, but I just wanted to share my thoughts and why I think like that.

I agree, we go to another realm or dimension.
You mentioned 100 watts of energy, was that anything to do with the experiments performed when they were measuring peoples weight on their death beds? There was a a weight reduction measured upon the time of death - before any fluid loss.
Also, you could discuss reincarnation and those children that have memories of different times and names, knowledge of different languages etc. So it could be argued some spirits reincarnate after time in another realm to learn further lessons or participate in unfinished business.

No I remember reading somewhere about humans generating a certain amount of energy while not doing anything, it stuck with me over the years because I thought it was a really interesting discovery. I had to google what the exact amount was :)
I did not know about a weight reduction at death, I will look it up. Thanks for that.
I think reincarnation could be possible, I know a lot of cultures believe in it. There is so much we don't under stand and anything could be possible.
But I do believe there is an energy about life, which goes somewhere when we die.
It could all come down to this multiverse theory, where they reckon there could be a infinite amount of universes. So maybe we are locked in an infinite process of life and death, passing from universe to universe.

It’s interesting that you are lead by scientists to your belief. Check out Tom Campbell on Youtube. He’s one of my favourite scientist who fuses science and metaphysics and he talks about reincarnation.

Yeah I never used to believe in after life until science expanded my mind ;)
Thanks I'm checking him out now. I haven't seen any of his stuff before

If all animals go into an "afterlife" or different spiritual realm, then it's going to be pretty crowded on the other side. With only 7.2 billion people on the planet, but 107 billion people have lived and died - that's 15 dead people for each living person... There are 10,000 trillion ants alive right now... around 4 hundred million tons...How many ants have died... like i said ...pretty crowded :)

No not necessarily, because let's not forget that it's a spiritual realm. So we leave behind the physical and the spiritual side of us continues on.
I also think the spiritual realm is eternal and never ending. So the spiritual realm may just be a never ending cycle of life and death.
Hard to say but we must go somewhere.

If you see yourself as one single bag of energy, then yes; it will be pretty crowded there. But what if there is one giant layer of energy hanging around the earth (to keep it imaginable) and we humans and animals are only a temporarily tiny particle of it. When we die, we just plop back into that giant layer.

Einstein's quote has nothing to do with the subject and even opposes your argument. There is no soul or energy, it's all just molecules and chemistry. We rot in the earth, contributing to fertile soil and food for other creatures. That's where our energy goes, it's not lost.
Happy Easter! :-)

I used to think in the same way, but I don't think molecules and chemistry can explain the diversity of people. Sure we get some similar personalities but they still differ greatly.
Also why are we here one minute and gone the next, like in an instant.
Sure the energy which was used to create out flesh and bones is slowly returned to the earth, but what about the energy which makes us unique. Our lifeforce.

It can be explained though. I'm no expert in chemistry, biology, psychology and all the fields necessary for answering your questions, but you can do research and find valid explanations for everything. It makes no sense to just use god, magic or supernatural powers as explanation for everything we don't understand.
There are thousands of examples like that and it's a dangerous way of thinking.
The same applies to the concept of a lifeforce. What do you mean by it? The blood running through our veins? The memories stored through neurons and synapses in our brain?
There is no such thing as an invisible lifeforce mambo jambo, it has to be detectable or measurable in some way.

Hmm no I don't think it can be explained so simply. Like I said I don't believe in god or supernatural or super powers, but through my learning of science and the way things work this is what I believe and why.
There is so much we don't know, and throughout history beliefs change.
I mean we still can't replicate the building of the pyramids.
Maybe there is a higher entity, like I said I don't believe in god but how can all the universe come out of nothing?
The singularity as they put it.
By life force I mean the thing that is our consciousness.
Maybe we are just one big simulation, the ultimate game.
Lol you sound like a scientist by the way you wrote the last paragraph ;)

Well @thevillan you started a very intresting conversation here. I am not a religious man. Like you and like many others I didn't believe to after life, I was even mocking people with metaphysical beliefs. But it wasn't science that changed my mind. I don't think that this is the right path for that kind of questions. It was an experience that opened not my mind, but my heart in a way that I don't know that their is something more after death, but I feel there is. I can't explain it better and anyway this hole thing I am refering to, is an evolving procedure. Most certainly I am not trying to convice anyone for anything, I am just sharing my thoughts to this extremely interesting subject.
Happy Easter :)
