➲ Engineered to withstand MULTIPLE airplane impacts (from 707...nearly same size/weight as 767).
 

➲ Owned by NYC Port Authority until 2000.
 

 ➲ Larry Silverstein bought the complex for 15 million dollars down  payment, and put a 3.5 billion dollar insurance policy on the towers  against terrorist attacks in June 2001.
 

➲ Several months later,  terrorist attacks destroy the entire complex, and Larry Silverstein  makes several insurance claims and profits 4.55 billion dollars and is  given the contract to rebuild the complex with his own buildings.
