it sounds as though you where scrapping the tips of the center stand? but you should know since your feet will feel the pavement through foot pegs...check and see if there was not something to update the center stand .. i believe i have to buy a used one .. but prices do not fll

Up the rear preload and that helps with the pegs grinding. I had the same issues when the pace was upped. Doesn't happen quite as often but then I tend to ride a bit slower theses days ;)
