  1. “The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble.”
  2. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.”
    Psalm 9:9,10 (NKJV)

• Oppression comes from the enemy—the devil.

  • The devil stirs up his human agents, those who have given their souls to him, to oppress God’s servants and the people of God.
  • Satanic attacks and oppressions should be handled prayerfully.
GOD is our refuge when trouble comes.
  • If you leave God’s refuge, you may suffer in the hand of the enemy.
  • The devil would want to lure anyone who put his or her trust in God out of God’s protective care—custody.

• Knowing God which is a process, AND leads to total trust in Him.

  • The more you know God, the deeper the understanding of Him you have, and the trust you have in Him.
  • The more you seek Him, the more intimate you become with Him.
TRUST emanates from true seekers of Him.
IF you genuinely and sincerely seek God, He will be found by you.

• Also: The the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever

  • God hates poverty thus He has a soft spot for the poor: "For the needy shall not always be forgotten; the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever” (Psalm 9:18).
  • God does not want the poor to be oppressed or cheated.
NOTE: God will not forget the needy.
  • To be in need is not a crime, however, God does not want His own to remain in need perpetually.
  • Poverty is a curse!
  • Poverty relegates and makes one unfulfilled in life.

• Solution

  • God has made provision through His Word to come out of poverty.
  • Jesus became poor that we might be rich: "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, THAT YOU THROUGH HIS POVERTY MIGHT BECOME RICH" (2 Corinthians 8:9).
  • Deliverance from poverty comes through the obedience, practicing the principles of abundance in God’s Word.
  • God walks with covenants.
Wealth is a result of the covenant which God made with Abraham: "And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, THAT HE MAY ESTABLISH HIS COVENANT WHICH HE SWORE TO YOUR FATHERS, as it is this day" (Deuteronomy 8:18).
  • The Covenant is higher and greater than any economic situation or circumstance of any nation of the world.
WHAT makes a believer, Christian, blessed is not the economic condition of his country but obedience to the terms of the covenant of prosperity in God's Word.
  • When you walk in the Principle of giving:
    TITHINGS
OFFERINGS: worship offering, project offering, offering to the needy, prophet offering, and others.
HARD-WORKING and being prudent in spending.
NOTE: God is moved by faith, when you believe His Word and you obey—practice it, put it to work, then He will move on your behalf.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
