New York gun laws are insane.

So, this recent defensive shooting by a parking lot attendant in New York should show everybody how insane New York's gun laws are.

Now, the charges were eventually dropped because, just like Jose Alba, the attendant was clearly and obviously innocent, and Alvin Bragg had to back down; but, the attendant was also charged with illegal possession of a firearm.

The thing is, the firearm in his possession was the firearm that he wrestled away from the assailant who shot him!

This isn't a Bernie Goetz thing where he was illegally carrying for self-defense, and ended up having to use the gun. The attendant was unarmed, attacked by this dick-bag, shot twice, managed to get the gun away from his attacker and shoot the attacker, and Bragg still decided to charge the attendant with illegal possession of a firearm.
