delegated to the @finallynetwork because of sam’s vision and the @steem-ua project because we need a bigger influencer conversation.

sent 300 SP this morning to the @finallynetwork project and 250 SP to the @steem-ua project (for now) — the first one was a no brainer because I really like @sambillingham and his work and I’d love to build something together with him in the coming year and also because I think he’s a great chap all around and has a lot to offer the blockchain — that’s the whole point of delegation right after all?

Secondly, finally I gave in and decided to add some SP to the @steem-ua project. At first I was kinda against doing it if I’m honest as I’m not interested in a ‘leaderboard’ setup or ‘race to the bottom’ in terms of ‘penis waving’ of who has more ‘influence’ on the platform — if all feels very ‘middleman’ again and I kinda got on the blockchain to get away from all of that.

But I took a bit of time out last night to have a think about things that have just happened with @dlive and I realised that we need a bigger, broader conversation of what is real influence anyway, what that looks like, it’s not just a point score that’s for sure — we can’t always TRACK the way that our influence helps other people make decisions or influencers them to approach something, everyone here as a voice that’s for sure.

So even thou I don’t know who has the algorithm, who pulls the strings behind the scenes I am interested if it brings about a bigger conversation passed gloating about point score, I think that’s one of the biggest issues in general in life tbh, people power playing, I just wanna get on with stuff and feel comfortable in my creative learning instead of fighting the gentrification of intellect which I see so much in between these blocks.

So yeah, @dlive feelings still raw for sure, I think we need an alternative streaming solution on the steem blockchain for sure and I hope it spawns 2 or 3 more that can work together and ultimately come together to make one awesome platform — I’ve got a lot of input that I could bring to the table on that and I know it would be a perfect tool or add-on that eventually @steemhunt could use to power some of the other verticals.

Pumped to have more involvement with @finallynetwork (not that sam doesn’t already have a great vision) if needed, I have a bunch of ‘frontend’ features that I think should have been in there from the start including twitch stream embeds, wistia embed whitelisting and just a general bunch of improvements to the look and feel of a new style of condenser with white labeled new embeds — I hope we can do that on our custom layouts, I’m not even sure if that’s gonna be a feature (like custom js/css) frontends but it’s certainly something I’m waiting on hf20 for as well as account creation.

Ok, that’s it for me this morning, time to crack on, my daughter is here this morning and I’ve gotta write back to @dayleeo this morning before the machines start doing that stuff for me anyway based on what i've written, you know that stuff is coming in real fast. .
