Do you guys think this is true?

The article claims the president of Nicaragua who has been in power about 10 years is trying to get rid of his political opposition.

The official charge was conspiring against the Nicaraguan people.

This is the second presidential candidate in the last four days to be detained by police.

I dont know anything about the politics of nicaragua, but there is a growing trend of crushing the opposition. Our state (Jamamu and Kashmir) enjoyed special status in the indian constitution but the current govt. sliced our state into 2 union territories after throwing all its elected representative into jail. Wr remained without internet and cellular network for months altogather.
More than 2 years after robbing us off our rights, strong rumours aee simmering that there will be further downgrading of the only muslim majority state now Union Terrotery of J&K.
In case i dont respond to your posts, you should assume internet has been stripped off and further policies are forcibly imposed by Union of India in J&K.

Wow

Dont really have any idea about that place. Hope its for the greater good for the people living there.

I just read about this issue, but i don't think it is that surprising for power-drunk politicians to resort to unfair strategies to remain in power.

Whatever has been done there i hope its for the greater good.

I have no idea friend, no idea about this country and the people, just want peace for the people and the country.

That’s nice thanks for sharing interest

Sorry @voidsoul,I don’t have any knowledge about this incident.

It would be unfair to say if it is true or not directly but trying to get rid of political opposition is quite a common phenomenon around the world.

Thanks for sharing.

I think it should be something that is good for the people of Nicaragua.
