Democracy Hijacked

Democracy has been distorted by our elected representatives and their associated political parties. Democracy has been hijacked by cabals of insiders . The difference between real democracy and the cult of leadership is the principle of " the will of the people".

Real democracy is defined primarily as the "will of the people". Our experience of democracy shouldn't end after we vote for a representative, in fact that is where it should begin.

Majority rules applies to our governments and private groups. Roberts rules of order is the standard operating system for democratic groups.
Yet this breaks down when our constituencies are governed by representatives who fail to poll the will of the members to accurately represent them.

Our democracies have been hijacked more through disinformation narratives than physical force. Our populations are spoon fed the common theme of "leadership", "party politics" and "representative democracy". These principles could be valid if they took into account the real will of the voters.

Once a vote is made for a representative and an associated party platform from then on the people are left out of the decision making process. Whats required is an online direct democracy platform to measure the vote of the constituents. The poll result has to be reflected by the representatives vote in the government.

Once this kind of system is layered on top of our current democracies then we will have real democracy. For now we have a distorted version of democracy that is sponsored by professional politicians ambitious to gain the rewards of being in government.
