Yes, a person was injured. Thankfully, nobody died.
Still, what the fuck is this?
That scope is designed to shoot a deer that's a few hundred yards away. It's not designed to hit a target that's twenty feet away.
You shouldn't be shooting steel targets with a rifle at that distance. I'm planning on making a video doing a mozambique drill this month. I already bought the cardboard targets for a good reason.
I've shot steel targets. I enjoy shooting steel targets. You have the instant gratification when your shot hits and you hear that sound. Still, you have to account for the possibility that the bullet is gonna fracture and bounce back.
Also, what the hell is he doing with the placement of the butt of the rifle?
I know that AR-15s don't kick much -- that's part of the reason why they're good home defense weapons. If he tried to fire my 30-30 like that, he'd probably break his collar bone.
I'm pretty well convinced that most of the politicians -- mostly Democrats -- who want stricter gun laws, want them because of their own incompetence.
We all know that guns are dangerous. That's why they're useful.
People who understand what it means to pull that trigger are generally in favor of the right to bear arms. People who want restrictions while trying to pander to people who would like to keep their guns are pretty damn likely to shoot a gun and injure a person.
If you're pro-2A while still being a bit of a Fudd, you're gonna ask questions. You're gonna learn how the gun functions. You're gonna learn how the sites work and how to clear malfunctions. You're gonna try to not be a Fudd.
If you're anti-2A, you don't wanna learn any of that. You take pride in your ignorance. Still, you wanna win those swing voters, and show that you like guns enough to not strip away the rights of the people.
And then you injure somebody because you're a fucking idiot.
