Biplab Kumar Deb is from Bangladesh. His home still exists in Chandpur in Chittagong division in southeast Bangladesh. He became the chief minister of Tripura, in India's northeast. Thanks to his religion.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated him on friday, March 9, 2018, after his swearing-in as the new Chief Minister of Tripura.
Bengali Hindus – who had immigrated from the neighbouring country as refugees post 1971 war and today alarmingly constitute the majority of the state's population – have reduced the indigenous Tripuri from the majority community to a minority in their own homeland.
As per 2011 census, the Tripuri population constitutes about 30% of the population while the Bengalis amounted to about 70%. They have succeeded in this international demographic game because of India's Hindu favoritism.

Hindu Bengalis migrated to Tripura after 1949 to escape religious persecution in Muslim majority East Pakistan [Bangladesh]. Before independence, most of the population was indigenous [Mongoloid];.Ethnic strife between the Tripuri tribe and the predominantly immigrant Bengali community led to scattered violence.

This – in my opinion and of others in NE India – is an extreme example of international demographic warfare, which has successfully driven the indigenous into dust and nothingness in their own homeland by immigrants.
