From feeling ok, to bad to good. See it in action!

Hiya fellow fighter of sadness

I just wanted to share with you a ray of hope. Not from the point of view of me having solved the key to feeling good, but from the point of view that it's ok to feel down and that it doesn't have to last forever.

I was pretty down during the month of February. It all started from going on a stag do and drinking far too much. It might be fun for some people and I was enyoing myself doing it. But boy did I pay for it.

At the start of March I started a new focus to improve how I was feeling. You can read the first post here (https://steemit.com/life/@jumpatthechance/want-to-change-follow-my-experiment)
It started well but then I had a bit of a lull. Infact I was pretty upset on at least two of the days. (I only know this because I rang a mental health support service twice)
But today I am feeling good. Nothing has changed in my world. My earning is the same, I'm still in a room in a shared flat etc but I feel more positive.

Why?
I can only put it down to the small steps forward I have been making. Things that I might take for granted. I was quite surprised to find that I didn't dwell too much on something I saw earlier.

I originally came on Steemit to make some money. I guess why I write stuff on here is still on of the aims. But now instead of writing two articles a day like the training suggested, I write when i feel I have something to share that might be helpful.

Anyway I digress. I saw a fellow Steemian who joined the same time as me, but his posts are actually earning some alright money and he has five times the followers I do.

Normally I would use this to beat myself up about how shit I am blah blah but this time, after a minute of that (Can't beat the habit of a life time straight away :-) I thought "Well I'm not him and he's not me. Good luck to him that he is earning but me focusing on that doesn't change what I am doing"

Maybe I could learn something from him. Maybe he produces content that has more of an appeal than mine. Either way does it even matter?

Wow, sorry I've gone really off course here!

What the point of this post was, was to let you know that if you are feeling bad then it will pass at some point. Hold on to the fact that nothing stays the same forever.

If you read through my recent wanting to change experiment, you can read how my demeanour fluctuates through the last 3 weeks.

I know that I don't know how long I will feel good for, but I do know that when it comes time to feeling bad again, it just means that another chance to feel good is around the corner.

Keep strong
