I love how you described "street photography" and offered tips for it. And thank you for the prize of the previous 2 contests! Oh how I adore this theme, can I enter 3 times, 1 in each tier? ;)

Here is my entry for this time, there are so many more waiting there. It was when I strolled a street in La Habana Vieja (Old Havana in Cuba), a lively and hectic district full of local charm. The doors of local homes are usually wide open, and portrait of Fidel Castro or Che Guevara is a common sight on the wall. The locals enjoy sitting outside, chatting or playing music. I got lots of invitations to sing and dance together with them when walking through the streets. It was great fun!

This is really nice @itchyfeetdonica.

I think you could maybe get more drama from the shot if you forced the blacks to be a bit punchier and raising the contrast, then adjusting mid tones and highlights to suit. making it punchier and a little gritty. Of course it's subjective, and just my taste, and in no way criticising. Hope that's cool? 🙂

Hey Martin! Thanks a lot for your great advice. =) I was actually thinking the same, but I only quickly adjusted it on my phone with Lightroom, and when I pushed the blacks, the face of Che got totally dark, so I gave up on that. I guess I need to use a multi-layer image editor like PS on my laptop to keep his face still brightened?

I only use LR myself, but on a large screen, maybe my eyes, but one of those things where size does matter, lol, like prints. 😊
