Not by the hair on my chinny, chin chin

This morning, the owner of my company came in to my office and asked me if I could make up a quick design to go on a flyer that they wanted to use to promote their local AM Radio Station that they just created. He gave me a free clip art picture that he wanted me to manipulate and make a little different. The name that they have chosen for their live radio show is "Boss Hog Radio" after the famous character from the late 1970's/early 1980's TV Show "Dukes of Hazard". They are country folk, so I tried to emphasize that as much as possible. Here is what I was able to come up with:

Hay sticking out of your mouth is an iconic look for farmers from the 1950's/1960's, and my owner grew up in that time period, so it was an ode to him. Also, I put headphones on the pig/hog because, well, it is a radio station! My favorite part is the hair on the chin of the hog. There is a fable that was written in the late 1890's called "The three little pigs" about three pigs that live on their own after their mother sent them to look for wealth. A wolf comes to town and wants to eat them. The first pig's house is made of straw, and the wolf destroys it by blowing it down and eats the first pig. The second pig's house is made of sticks, and as you can guess, the wolf blew that house down too and ate the second pig. But the third pig's house is made of brick. The wolf says to the last pig:

"Little pig, little pig, let me come in!"

To which the last pig replies to the wolf:

"Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin!"

The wolf is unsuccessful trying to blow the house down. So he tries to go down the chimney, but the pig is ready and has a pot of boiling hot water down the chimney waiting for the wolf. The wolf falls in and the pig does not have to worry about that Big Bad Wolf no more! And that is what inspired the little hairs on the hog's chin!

Very good post my friend

The boss always want employees to create surplus value, the staff always hope the boss can be generous.

Very clever!

That turned out to be a funky design in fact!
