A few years ago I designed this home speaker for a startup of mine.
The product never reached production even if our crowdfunding campaign was successful.
We worked hard but it wasn't enough.

Holy smokes. The design is incredible. Elegant, clean. Simple. Totally new angle to play with in the design realm in this space. I personally dig it dude. Awesome job.
Can I ask what held it up by chance. I work in a different industry but in a startup and always want to be on the front of issues as much as I can. Feels like building an airplane in mid-air, at least that's how we feel. Thanks again for putting these up. Aloha.

Thanks! I think the main problems is the fact that it wasn't radical innovation but more incremental innovation in a place where there are already big players. It was like trying to create a new automobile brand challenging Honda and Toyota with a product only slightly better.
The second problem was the price factor, we couldn't produce high volume enough to lower the price for it to reach an attractive price for the target market we were selling it.
