How i redesigned my site in one night

I’ve been meaning to rebuild my site from the ground up for some time now, I never knew what kept holding me back from doing so, I could take a wild guess and say it was school but that never kept me from playing video games did it? The first time I built my portfolio site was from scratch, I never drafted any mock-ups or sketches to determine how the site would look, what color shades to use and boy did it look ugly 😂, I chose to use the classic color black because i wanted to the site to look all dark and mysterious. After a full day of hard coding and multiple iterations of layouts, I was done, “I have finished building my site” I said to myself not knowing that i would someday see the site in a different light entirely, so a few months passed and the site was still up for the whole world to see, In my mind I’d finished but something inside me knew something was missing, I decided to go back to the drawing board (or should i say Figma board) and I started to create layouts of how I’d envisioned the site earlier, drawing inspiration from more experienced designers and already established sites(I never completed it though) For some reason i grew bored and abandoned the project up until yesterday after it hit me that I was about to become a professional web developer and I still do not have my own personal site to portray my personality. So i drew out mu Hp notebook pc from my gigantic khaki school bag, opened the Figma board and started afresh on an entirely new page, this time with a real motive behind the reason for the deign. A few hours passed and I’d came up with a satisfactory design that I thought everyone would like since there was a bit of controversy on the first two iterations of the site.
So I uploaded the images to my Google drive and shared with my friends, majority of them loved the designs and couldn’t wait for the site to be live.

I won’t be starting on the development project now because I’ve got major exams coming, I plan on starting as soon as i am done 🚀.
