This 100 year old house is located in a small mountain village in China. Abandoned for years, the entire wooden structure collapsed.
The owners wanted to first shave the ruins and build a contemporary concrete house. The studio SU Architects managed to dissuade them by proposing this fusion between the past and the present, thus preserving the unique old house of the village.
The old materials have been preserved and sublimated by a modern envelope made of glass, concrete and metal, the result is magnificent.
