Bell Street House, home in Australia by Technē Architecture + Interior Design
Bell Street House meets the lifestyles of its owners, striking the right balance between a minimalist aesthetic and its function as a family home. The client wanted a discreet contemporary space but also playful.

This meant a complete reconfiguration of the existing dwelling, including new spaces at the front and back of the yard and new windows and exterior doors. The architects envisaged a space that could exalt a sensation of lightness and bring serenity to those who are there. Maximizing airflow and maintaining a strong visual connection to outdoor spaces were essential to achieve this goal. The monochromatic color palette is softened by an abundance of natural light. Textured finishes such as wood, marble, brick bring a real plus to the house. The result is a contemporary aesthetic that meets the functional challenges of the family home - especially that of a small child.
