3d Printing - Master Yoda (Low Poly)

“Do. Or do not. There is no try.” - Yoda

Following up on my previous post where I modelled Master Yoda using Blender, I am going to share today some pictures of the 3d printed Yoda with you.

Except of the rough surface at the chin I am very happy with the print result. The overall print took 8,5 hours.

The print required support towers to prevent the filament from falling at the 90 degree angles on ears and chin area.

Like with most of my designs I try to prevent to use any infill (plastic inside the model) since it is a waste and hugely increases the already long print time. You can see the hollow design in the next picture.

I have uploaded the .stl file for free download on Thingiverse in case you like to print Yoda as well.

Have a good day!

Nice man.. wish I had a 3d printer so I also could model and print it

really good, i liked the previous one, i like this one also. Good printing job

Great, thanks for your feedback.

Ahah really cool. I really like. I would have to try one day to print in 3D we can do tricks really well. Good job

Much appreciate it, thank you.

Good one. I think that if you tilted his head slightly backwards you could at least do away with the support for the chin. The ears? a totally different thing :-)

I agree, tilting the head backwards would have prevented the need for support on the chin but I wanted Yoda to look us straight in the eyes! :-)

Can't argue about that ;-)

We used to print cases for our resberry pi. hehehe...Have you try it ?

Very nice. The power might be with you!

And you!

This is awesome! I love Yoda!

Thank you.

This is cool work awesome

Thank you very much.

Cool! Upvoted, followed and resteemed:)

Thank you, much appreciated!

Wow looks awesome! How did you smoothen the 3d printed yoda and removed the base part?

The printer did a good job so I didn't had to smoothen the surface. The base part can be easily removed after the print is finished.

Fabulous job!

Congratulations to you my friend

Thank you.

Amazing work! I really like this one :)

This is really awesome! Master Yoda is the best and I have been fascinated with the idea of 3D printing since I heard about it years back, the possibilities for it seem endless! Great job! 👏👏👏
