MAKE your own toys. Ingredients: Fusion360 and a 3D printer

in design •  7 years ago

Last evening my son made his first 3d design in Fusion360 (with a little help from Papa) and he is very happy about the printed result!

He used for the most part basic rectangle and circle shapes for his Killer Robot sketch. After the sketch we Extruded the shape and cut in the logo and eyes / mouth.

After the print was completed he realised that his Robot is one of a kind and unique in the world. He was very excited to play with it and destroy other Robots.

I think designing toys and printing them out is a great way for children to bring part of their imagination to life! He is very excited about it and wants to MAKE more ... :-)

wow that's great. He modeled that toy by himself. I am amazed. And the printed results looks awesome.

Wow this is awesome! This would be a great thing to explore with kids, I would think. Helping them to build and design their own toys, and giving them some control over the design and creation of that would probably be a great learning experience. My little brother is 10 and I think he would love this :)
