Let's start, when I already had my image we go to the main thing, the outline lines, outline the illustration is what will give life to your sketch, it will give you character and shape as such, I usually start by outlining the clothes and dante your touches details to give you that aspect of originality, It is very important that the image that you are going to use as a template for the contour has a very low opacity so that it has that transparency effect and you can add details of the folds of the clothes and details of the face

One of the most efficient tricks when making an illustration is to play with the variation of lines, ie play with the thickness, size and shape of these to get a cleaner look and not with a flat look, in the image previous you can see this example, the same outline procedure and once we have the clothes we apply in the rest of the illustration I focused on highlighting the tattoo's that the artist has so that it looks more real and does not lose that sense of identity of the character

They say that the eyes are the doors of the soul, and in our illustations when it is a specific person is the most important part and where we must be very careful and skillful as this will be the identity of our character, at this point the eyes they are a fundamental part because any detail that the person does not naturally have, will take away their identity and become another person, accompanied also very important features such as nose, mouth and eyebrows

//THE COLOR //
It is true that a black-and-white illustration is striking and partly appeals to the great majority of the consumer public, but colors will always transmit more, transmit emotions, feelings and to the eyes of the public, it is striking, it attracts them and introduces them as such in the illustration, First and foremost we have to take into account the base color, but before we go to give color to the eyes hair and eyebrows, to go visualizing what we want to achieve, very carefully the natural details are given to the character a little bit of beard, a bit of beard, a little eyelashes as long as the quantity is similar to the one that the character has in his nature, since these traits will be fundamental for the identity of the same, that touch like freshly shaved on the sides of the head will give that extra touch and originality

The base colors are a fundamental part for the evolution of the illustration, usually I always choose them thinking always and taking into account the shadows and brightness that I will agreagate later, and they will ask themselves, Why? and this has a very simple explanation, when choosing a base color it will always have an evolution when adding shadows, that is, it can become darker than when it is chosen or becomes clearer because of the brightness, it must be very careful with these aspects, since these generate precensia in the illustration, in this case I chose a base color a medium dark tone but not so much for the skin since the character is dark skinned, if the tone is fixed in the original image is darker than the one that ultilizare this is because the character can be very dark once you add the details of shadows and brightness, I recommend for your own pleasure to use some tones a little lighter than the original photo, Applies for clothes or other elements of illustration

in the same case it is at the time of illustrating any object or person, the shadows will always vary depending on the position of the point of illumination and the form that the person has an object, and in this case place my point a little more on the left side of your screens to give that touch of depth on the right side to the person with a good shadow, it is important not to shade those parts of the face that may be protruding, that is, the part of the nose, cheekbones, eyelids, otos since these will also be used later placing brightness, Colocare two sequence of images where I show them first shade, darker shadows and finally shine only in the area of the face

The same learned knowledge is applied to the rest of the illustration in the case of clothing, shades in the folds will give that touch of depth and realism, to this and finally a background is added to the soft illustration, which does not protrude so that you do not miss the point of interest in the main character, I always opt for creamy and soft colors so that the character is the center of attention and the final result would be something like this
