Homemade Maida Aur Suji Ki Seviyan. Making Seviyan requires a lot of strength. Made primarily of Maida, and Sooji Water and a pinch of salt, the dough is stretched to make to finer strands and hung to dry. Seviyan can be used in a lot of recipes mostly being Kheer and Upma. It is a great delicacy during the month of Ramzan.
Ingredients for Sevai with milk
Vermicelli - 1 cup (100 grams)
Green cardamom - 2
Sugar - ½ cup (100 grams)
Ghee - 3 tbsp
Milk- 1 Litre
How to make Sevai without milk
1- Preheat a pan, add 2 tablespoons of clarified butter to it and melt it.
2- Add a cup of vermicelli to it and roast while continuously stirring it until golden brown on medium flame.
8- Cook it on low to medium flame for 5 minutes.
9- After 5 minutes, stir it and add seeds of cardamoms.
10- Partially open the lid and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
11- Stir and cook without covering for 2 minutes.
12- Switch off the flame and cover the sweet vermicelli.
13- After 5 minutes, pour it in a bowl and serve it.
14- Sweet vermicelli without milk is ready to be served.
