What to see and where to go in Punin, China

Many of our colleagues wanted to go to the Celestial Empire to get acquainted with the many sights of this amazing country, and many of them did their desire in practice.
Now tours and copyright streets in China are hosted by many operators, and, taking advantage of these offers, you can go not only in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and other famous cities of the country but also in villages that, barely known to various Russian tourists. One of them is Punin.

Located in the southern part of China, in Guangdong province, and, according to Chinese statistics, today the city's population is about 3,500,000 people, and its total area is about 220 square kilometers. According to some expert data, Punin is the fastest growing city in the world.

Chinese historians have discovered that it was founded during the inauguration of the Ming dynasty, but it is dispersed and not always a permanent settlement in the region that now stretches there even during the Paleolithic period.

In 1565, Punin was surrounded by a city wall, which was meant to protect against enemy attacks. The city grew rapidly and at the beginning of the 20th century it has become a major economic, cultural and educational center. These placed several educational institutions and it was their students who grew up in the 1911 revolutionary uprising, suppressed with certain atrocities.

In recent years, Puning is experiencing a real economic boom and is now one of the largest centers of the Chinese textile industry.

The tour here is made not only by "ordinary" tourists, but also by many entrepreneurs who are trying to build mutually beneficial business contacts with local businessmen.

Those travelers who go to Puning mainly in order to get acquainted with the architectural monuments, are mainly sent to the historic center, which, like many ancient cities in China, is now surrounded by ultra modern skyscrapers, industrial enterprises and their small appearance background and somewhat "lost". There is a magnificent Pey Pagoda, a Hung Buddhist temple, which attracts many curious tourists.

There are several interesting museums in Punin. Among them, City Museum, City Museum of Arts and some others stand out for their rich exposition. They are in different parts of the city and therefore to get acquainted with their collection, will need to travel a lot through the settlement.

Arriving in Puning, be sure to visit at least one local "caterer", to taste the unique dishes of local cuisine. At the same time, as demonstrated by practice, it is best to go to one of the little cafes where the locals eat, and try what Chinese people usually eat, and not what the tourists offer solely oriented to tourist.

Tourists go to the People's Republic of China for various purposes. Those who go to Shanghai or the northern provinces usually do the shopping tour, Beijing is most popular with those who prefer to travel abroad, and tourists who come to Punin have a very good chance to combine these two activities.
