There will be a sequel for The Pick of Destiny
During Tenacious D’s performance at Atlanta's Shaky Knees Festival on Sunday (May 6), Jack Black announced a Sequel to their Motion Picture Tenacious D The Pick of Destiny.
“I don’t know where you’ll be able to see it, but we have decided that it’s happening and it’s coming out," Black said after played the songs “Kielbasa” and “Kickapoo.” He announced the sequel is likely due in October.
The original film was released in November 2006 and achieved cult status amongst around the world, thanks in part to its strong accompanying soundtrack.
Jack black said: "We've been working on it for years, it's a post apocalyptic musical comedy that's an animated series that no one wanted in Hollywood but we're making it anyway."
While no further information has been revealed about the new film yet, it looks like we might just need to wait until October to see what happens.

"Ich weiß nicht, wo ihr es sehen könnt, aber wir haben entschieden, dass es passiert und er herauskommt", sagte Black, nachdem Tenacious D die Songs "Kielbasa" und "Kickapoo" gespielt hatten. Er gab bekannt, dass die Fortsetzung wahrscheinlich im Oktober erscheinen wird.
Der Originalfilm wurde im November 2006 veröffentlicht und erreichte Kultstatus in der ganzen Welt, unter anderem dank seines starken Soundtracks.
Jack Black sagte: "Wir haben jahrelang daran gearbeitet, es ist eine postapokalyptische Musikkomödie, die eine Zeichentrickserie ist, die niemand in Hollywood wollte, aber wir machen es trotzdem."
Über den neuen Film sind noch keine weiteren Informationen bekannt geworden, aber es sieht so aus, als müssten wir nur bis Oktober warten, um zu sehen, was passiert.
