That is indeed a beautiful area. I was in Bad Hofgastein this summer and only took the cable car up from there. Also a beautiful area. I didn't go to Sportgastein, but I now see what I missed :(
PS. Sorry, I can read German, but can't write it. Well, probably I can, but the question would be if you would understand it...

    If you have the chance to go back to Bad Hofgastein you actually have to visit Sportgastein. It takes approx. 15 minutes by car.
