Großenbrodener Sund- und Küstenlauf

Ganz in der Nähe unseres Urlaubsortes auf Fehmarn hatten wir die Gelegenheit am 34. Großenbrodener Sund- und Küstenlauf teilzunehmen.

Die sehr gut organisierte Veranstaltung startet auf der Strandpromenade von Großenbrode und führt über Straßen und Wirtschaftswege bis unter die Fehmarnsundbrücke und zurück.

Zumindest wenn man die 20 km Strecke wählt wie wir. Die 10 Kilometer-Läufer schaffen es leider nicht unter der Brücke hindurch.

Das Wetter mit leicht bedecktem Himmel und ca. 23 Grad war so weit in Ordnung. Es gab ausreichend Verpflegungsstationen an der Strecke. So war man gut versorgt und konnte unbeschwert laufen.
Die Veranstaltung ist eher klein und überschaubar (ca. 300 Teilnehmer/innen), aber mit viel Herzblut organisiert und durchgeführt.

Lydia hatte als Ziel einen Lauf unter 2 Stunden und das hat sie auch bestens erreicht. Insgesamt ist es zwar ein kleines, aber schnelles Teilnehmerfeld und man muss sich schon anstrengen um nicht Letzer zu werden.

Ein rundum schöner Lauf bei dem es obendrein sogar noch ein schickes T-Shirt gab.

Großenbrodener Sund- und Coast-Run.

Very close to our holiday resort on Fehmarn we had the opportunity to participate in the 34th Großenbrodener Sund- und Küstenlauf.

The very well organized event starts on the beach promenade of Großenbrode and leads along roads and farm roads to the Fehmarnsund Bridge and back.
At least if you choose the 20 km route like we do. The 10 kilometre runners unfortunately can't make it under the bridge.

The weather with a slightly overcast sky and about 23 degrees was fine. There were plenty of refreshment stations along the route. Thus one was well supplied and could walk untroubled.
The event is rather small and manageable (approx. 300 participants), but organized and carried out with a lot of heart and soul.

Lydia had a run of less than 2 hours as finish and she achieved that very well. All in all it is a small but fast field of participants and you have to make an effort not to become the last one.

A nice run all around with even a nice T-shirt on top of that.
