Wer kennt ihn nicht, den Star, der in großen Schwärmen umherzieht und überall dort zu finden ist wo es etwas zu fressen gibt. Nachts versammeln sich die Stare in Schlafgemeinschaften. Schon von weitem kann man den Lärm hören den so eine Kolonie, von bis zu einer Million Tiere verursacht. Solche Schwärme können in kürzester Zeit die Ernte von Kirschbäume oder auch Weinreben komplett vernichten. Der Vogel ist sehr intelligent und kann die unterschiedlichen Laute anderer Lebewesen imitieren. Stare können bis zu zwanzig Jahre alt werden.
Who doesn't know him, the common starling, who roams in big swarms and can be found everywhere where there is something to eat. At night the starlings gather in sleeping communities. Even from a distance you can hear the noise caused by such a colony of up to one million animals. Such swarms can destroy the harvest of cherry trees or vines completely in shortest time. The bird is very intelligent and can imitate the most different sounds of other organisms. Starlings can live up to twenty years.

Für mich ist der Star einfach nur ein wunderschöner Vogel, den ich gerne an meiner Futterstelle im Winter beobachte. Mit seinem prächtigen Kleid ist er ein tolles Fotomotiv. Leider auch sehr scheu. Es erfordert schon einiges an Geduld und eine gute Tarnung, damit gute Bilder von diesem farbenprächtigen Vogel gelingen.
For me, the common starling is simply a beautiful bird, which I like to watch at my feeding place in winter. With his gorgeous dress he is a great photo motif. Unfortunately also very shy. It already requires some patience and a good camouflage, so that good pictures of this colorful bird succeed.

A campaign to draw attention to endangered animals and habitats is carried out every year by the Bund Naturschutz. In 2018 the star was selected as bird of the year.

Vielen Dank dass du vorbeigeschaut hast. Das Alter konnte entsprechend bestimmt werden anhand von Ringen die man Jungvögeln angelegt hat.

Moin Faltermann, ich wusste gar nicht das Stare so etwas wie ein Winterkleid tragen. Ein sehr schöner Vogel, festgehalten von einem Superprofifotographen. Die Scheuheit der Vögel ist sehr schade, aber sicher auch berechtigt.
Ich versuche ja schon seit Jahren einen der schönsten Rabenvögel, den Eichelhäher, vor die Handylinse zu bekommen. So spontan, keine Chance - einfach viel viel zu schlau solch ein Rabenvogel.

Ein Profi bin ich nicht, denn mein Geld verdiene ich mit einer anderen Tätigkeit. In meiner Freizeit fotografiere ich allerdings sehr ambitioniert und wenn man dies in meinen Bildern erkennt ist das natürlich fantastisch. Ich denke jeder Mensch sollte etwas mit Leidenschaft machen. Das ist der einzige Weg zum persönlichen Glück.
Mit dem Smartphone einen Eichelhäher zu fotografieren ist aber eine ordentliche Herausforderung. Der müsste schon zahm sein, damit er dich so nahe heran lässt, damit dir ein gutes Bild gelingt. So eine richtig gute Aufnahme ist mir von diesem Vogel auch noch nicht geglückt. Er ist einfach zu scheu und kommt bei uns auch nicht an die Futterstelle.

Bei uns kommt der Eichelhäher mehrmals täglich vorbei und schaut, da er für die normalen Futterhängedinger zu groß ist, ob etwas Leckeres in ausreichender Größe herunter gefallen ist - Erdnüsse, Haselnüsse oder so. Wenn nix da ist (wie meistens) ist er gleich wieder weg. Der fliegt vermutlich immer seine Route durch die Gärten ab. Wobei es natürlich mehrere sein können, ich weiß nicht wie das bei denen mit Revier etc. ist.

Wenn so ein Vogel regelmäßig zur Futterstelle kommt, verliert er mit der Zeit etwas die Scheu. Einfach ist aber nie so einen wilden Vogel aus kurzer Distanz zu fotografieren.

Deine Beiträge sind einfach gut. Der hier ist richtig toll. Ich habe die Bilder im Bekanntenkreis gezeigt, es kam nur ein einstimmiges Wow!
Ich verstehe gar nicht warum Du nicht im „Trending“ damit stehts. Vermutlich liegt das daran, dass Deine Artikel zu förderst auf deutsch verfasst. Und Deustch ist für die meisten Menschen zu schwer. Egal, mir hat der Artikel hier richtige Freude bereitet.
Zum Eichelhäher und der Handyfotographie. Um ein halbwegs Foto hinzubekommen, also eins wo man irgendwas vom Eichelhäher drauf erkennen könnte, müsste er schon sehr vom Handymodel angetan sein. Man schafft es ja nicht einmal einen draußen zu beobachten. Die sind ja sofort weg.

Das sind ja irre gute Bilder!
Mal ganz davon abgesehen, dass ich die letzten Jahre selbst auf dem Dorf immer weniger Stare sehe, die Schwärme nicht mehr so groß, fast himmelverdunkelnd wie „früher“ sind, könnte ich ein einzelnes Exemplar noch nie so detailliert betrachten.

Zur Zeit sind bei uns wieder sehr große Schwärme unterwegs. Ob das bis zu 1 Million sind wage ich zu bezweifeln. Mein Freund hat mal anhand einer Aufnahme, eine Hochrechnung gemacht und ist auf ca. 15000 gekommen. Aber man kann sich natürlich täuschen. Im Winter haben wir regelmäßig Stare an der Futterstelle. Ich beobachte sie dann gerne mit dem Fernglas und ab und an greife ich dann auch zur Kamera.

15.000 ist enorm! Ich schwöre dir, das gibt es hier oben im Norden nicht mehr. Mittlerweile freue ich mich schon, wenn der halbe Kirschbaum überhaupt abgefressen wird...
Aber immerhin hat mein Hund heute zwei Rebhühner aufgescheucht - die galten hier schon fast als ausgestorben...

Ja ein wirklich hübsches Kerlchen hat sich da vor deiner Linse ein wenig präsentiert. Überrascht bin ich auch ein wenig über das Alter was der Beau erreichen kann das ist für einen Vogel denke ich ganz ordentlich.

Das wurde wissenschaftlich anhand von Ringfunden toter Tiere bestimmt. Überrascht hat mich das aber auch. Zwanzig Jahre sind für so einen kleinen Vogel schon enorm.
