Venice - A beauty in danger
One of the most impressive towns in Europe is without doubt Venice.
It is one of a kind.
You can stroll around the whole day and it never gets boring.
It's been a while since I have been there but today the beauty of Venice is in danger.
There are too many tourists and many inhabitants fear, that this could destroy this wonderful place at last.
They don't like the big cruise ships.
They bring tourists and money but they also destroy the buildings step by step.
Lets hope there is a future for Venice. Lets take care of our historical legacy.
Venedig - Eine Schönheit in Gefahr
Eine der schönsten Städte Europas ist ohne Zweifel Venedig.
Sie ist einzigartig.
Man kann den ganzen Tag spazieren gehen und es wird keine Minute langweilig.
Es ist schon eine Weile her, seitdem wir Venedig besucht haben. Aber heute ist diese herrliche Stadt in Gefahr.
Es kommen zu viele Touristen und die Einwohner befürchten, dass das diesen wundervollen Ort letztendlich zerstören könnte.
Sie mögen vor allem die großen Kreuzfahrtschiffe nicht.
Sie bringen viele Besucher und damit auch Geld aber dadurch werden die alten Gebäude auch Stück für Stück zerstört.
Ich hoffe, dass es dennoch eine Zukunft für Venedig gibt. Wir sollten unser historisches Erbe nicht leichtfertig zerstören.

I agree... The town needs a complete overhauling and preservation. It is crumbling, crying for help. Tourists and visitors should be given a guideline of dos and don'ts when visiting Venice. Venice is like a Museum town. It needs to be protected as that. Good post :) upvoted

To be or not to be inundated with tourist... That is a difficult question for the Taj Mahal and for many of the Egyptian sites as well. I have no clue as to the answer but it's a good one.
