Nicht unbedingt. Ich habe oft genug erlebt, dass Menschen diesen Spruch getätigt haben um einen notwendigen Streit nicht austragen zu müssen. Allerdings auch um so zu tun als würden sie "reifer" sein als sie es in Wirklichkeit sind. Diese beiden Punkte, denke ich, gehen Hand in Hand.
Und, natürlich ist es oberflächlich. Wir leben in einer materiellen Zeit. Geistiges steht derweilen auf dem Abstellgleis. Zumindest, wenn es in die Tiefe geht.
