Does STEEMIT really promote writers?steemCreated with Sketch.

Hello, Everyone being little devil's advocate here. I really do like STEEMIT platform. As recently I have been reading researches about "Intrinsic", an "extrinsic" motivations. So basically human motivations can be divided into these two motivation.

Intrinsic motivation as they have defined it is "Behavior which you do it for internal benefit" my own words would be "Something you do it because it is good for you". Extrinsic motivation is "Behavior driven by external rewards such as fame, money, and etc". Now we have got that out of our way, lets see what kind of problems or problem will this community and platform will face that will be threat for its future existence.

My question is; here in STEEMIT, and future of this platform is that, we "reward" good posts by clicking upvote thus the writer makes sum amounts of money. Which we can define that "upvote" would be "external reward". How this platform manage to retain new writers, or better way to phrase is that. How do we Promote Intrinsic value towards the writer?

My experience is that, not just with STEEMIT money, fame external value driven projects. I have never finished them. Also when I find projects which I find appealing that gives me feeling of growth and challenge even it yielded no "value material" I have pursued it day and night.
