This is my first post and I'm so glad to join this community! I'm newer to crypto trading but through my research I've come across Steemit and this platform could quite possibly solve our new app development monetization hurdles. We are building a social video sharing Iphone & Android app where just like here, we want our users to be able to reward creator's content through simple gestures such as a tip jar, subscribing to creator's channels and commenting. We are currently in beta but our monetization doesn't kick in until Q1 2018.
This technology is very new to me and I'm not the CTO of our company but I'm on a fact finding mission to figure out how we can incorporate Steemit to tokenize our app? I'd imagine people would have to initially "buy in" for tokens and refill when/if needed? Does this platform play nice with iOS and Android? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't know the exact method, but I've seen before where a user creates a post and then embeds the upvote button for that post into their website.
You may be able to do that with your app as well, or maybe incorporate a feed of your content and encourage users to upvote there.

That makes sense. Wondering how we could also incorporate it into tip jars and subscriptions? Either way, we want to incorporate some form of this into our app.

If I'm reading between the lines are you saying Steemit can be used on our app as the app's token or would we have to use the Steemit platform to create the same system but with our own personalized token? Please understand I'm new to all of this and not sure how it really works. Just seeking information. Thanks!
