[steemiq.me] Version 0.2 Release : User Interface Changes, Algorithm Changes

steemiq.me Version 0.2 Release Log

This is a rather small update with optimizations done to the algorithm and user interface.

  • Updated the user interface to add average Flesch Kincaid grade level, and per post number of difficult words and Flesch Kincaid grade level.

Algorithm updates

  • The IQ calculation has been changed to be less reliant on the length of posts and more reliant on grade level, and number of difficult words.

Amazing tool cant wait to use it , thanks for helping steemit :)

Really a nice tool. Upvoted :-)

"102.4
STEEM IQ
8.5
SCHOOL GRADE"

wow, that doesn't seem so bad for someone who learned English as their 3rd language. :P

Fun tool but I'm not sure how accurately it measure IQ. For example, often the ability to write about difficult things at a lower grade level is a sign of high intelligence. Also, some posts that are at an extremely high grade level get marked as being at a 3.5 grade level :)

Great points! The current algorithm does not attempt at calculating academic intelligence but rather does an approximation based on writing quality. The piece that you posted has great academic content, but since it's just a video with some words it would not rate as highly as an academic journal. I do plan on having machine learning and RNNs to give this type of content a higher score, and contribution to IQ. But for now the algorithm does not differentiate between different types of text content.

I've found a problem when your tool scores me with negative rating due to the fact that some part of my posts typed in russian ;)

You have been accounted for :)

Next version will have language detection, be on the lookout :) thanks!

Cool! That seems better for me not being native speaker, BTW)

Not sure if I want to click a link from a user with the word hacker in his name.. :P

Edit: i checked out your other posts though and it seems legit. Thanks for this!
