• In the first part of this message We have been able to share five of THE WAYS PEOPLE DO GIVE PLACE TO THE DEVIL IN THEIR LIVES.
THE REMAINDER would be shared in this piece:
VI. Craving or desiring for the supernatural manifestations without the Holy Spirit and the Word of God
- When you begin to crave and desire supernatural manifestations like angelic visitation or whatever, without the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, you are calling for the devil.
THE devil may accommodate you, appear to you as an angel of light: "And no wonder! FOR SATAN HIMSELF TRANSFORMS HIMSELF INTO AN ANGEL OF LIGHT" (2 Corinthians 11:14). - Those who go about looking for miracles, in the name of getting solutions to their problems, and are not ready to sit down and be taught the Word of God may be victims of false prophets or apostles who are deceitful workers and are operating with demonic anointing: "FOR SUCH ARE FALSE APOSTLES, DECEITFUL WORKERS, TRANSFORMING THEMSELVES INTO APOSTLES OF CHRIST" (2 Corinthians 11:13).
- There are any number of places called churches today but such are the devil's shrines.
BEWARE of idolatry, whatever cannot be gotten through the Word of God is not from God.
SOLUTION to whatever problem you are having or facing is found in the Word of God, thus what you need is the Word of God and the prayers which are in line with the Scriptures. - Be careful about the choice of where you go for help, what you listen to, or watch on TV or social media, and the books you read.
- Also be careful whom or where you put your head down to be prayed for, or hands are laid on; YOUR head is an entrance to your body, If someone with a demonic anointing laid hands on you, you May be contaminated with such demonic power or the anointing.
VII. Visiting soothsayers, fortune tellers, crystal ball gazers, palm readers, horoscopes, sand readings, and false Prophets would give an opportunity to the devil in your Life.
- When you go to any of the above mentioned mediums you have stepped into the devil's territory, you are no longer covered by the blood of Jesus.
VISITING any of them is an act of rebellion because God has warned His people not to be part of such a thing.
- There shall not be found among you ANYONE WHO MAKES HIS SON or HIS DAUGHTER PASS THROUGH THE FIRE, or ONE WHO PRACTICES WITCHCRAFT, or A SOOTHSAYER, or ONE WHO INTERPRETS OMENS, or A SORCERER,
- or ONE WHO CONJURES SPELLS, or A MEDIUM, or A SPIRITIST, or ONE WHO CALLS UP THE DEAD.
- FOR ALL WHO DO THESE THINGS ARE AN ABOMINATION TO THE LORD, AND BECAUSE OF THESE ABOMINATIONS THE LORD YOUR GOD DRIVES THEM OUT FROM BEFORE YOU.
- You shall be blameless before the Lord your God.
- FOR THESE NATIONS WHICH YOU WILL DISPOSSESS LISTENED TO SOOTHSAYERS AND DIVINERS; but as for you, THE LORD YOUR GOD HAS NOT APPOINTED SUCH FOR YOU."
Deuteronomy 18:10-14 (NKJV)
- If because of your present predicaments, you ARE being desperate and gullible, wanting to know your tomorrow or future, and decided to visit any of these people mentioned above, you open the door to your Life for the devil to operate.
- The truth is: you do not need to be anxious of tomorrow.
KNOW THAT your tomorrow would have its blessings and challenges, no matter how much you worry about it:
“THEREFORE DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT TOMORROW, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. SUFFICIENT FOR THE DAY IS ITS OWN TROUBLE" (Matthew 6:34 ESV). - Live your life in line with the Word of God, let the Word of God guide and direct you in all you do, be anxious for nothing and put your plans before God through prayer and supplication: "BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING, BUT IN EVERYTHING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION, WITH THANKSGIVING, LET YOUR REQUESTS BE MADE KNOWN TO GOD" (Philippians 4:6).
- Live by faith and be patient with yourself and with God.
THROUGH anxiety you cannot add anything to your LIFE, you would rather prolong your journey in LIFE and muddled up the plan of God for your Life: "And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) [about 18 inches] to his stature [height] or to the span of his life?" (Matthew 6:27 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition). - When you live by faith and be patient, tomorrow or future would put the best in your hands, and you would have a fulfilled LIFE.
KNOW that God would not reveal everything about your LIFE to you, that is, all you will be in Life—He only reveals in part: "For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. NOW I KNOW IN PART..." (1 Corinthians 13:12).
• The land of inheritance God has apportioned you could only be taken little BY little: "And the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you LITTLE BY LITTLE..." (Deuteronomy 7:22).
- If you know the details of your LIFE, Or Tomorrow, and the whole of your future, you will no longer walk by Faith and that will be contrary to the Bible principles and teachings.
DO NOT go to the people who will claim they have seen the future for you through demonic power—it is not all the supernatural manifestations that are of God.
CHRISTIANS are to walk and live by faith—following God as He leads, not by future telling: "For in it the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD REVEALED FROM FAITH TO FAITH; as it is written, "THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH" (Romans 1:17).
• Do not give any place to the devil in your LIFE, keep yourself holy, and do not be unequally yoked together with darkness—the devil (1 Corinthians 10:21; 2 Corinthians 6:14-16).
- There is no agreement between the light and the darkness—the devil (2 Corinthians 6:14).
- When you go to the devil for a solution to ANY problem, you will surely return with More.
• You will not be a prey in the hands of the devil in Jesus' name.
