Perfect for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike, this guide will help you uncover the beauty of Devon Falls and provide valuable tips for your visit.

A Journey Begins: Nuwara Eliya to Hatton
Our journey started in Nuwara Eliya, where we visited my mother's elder sister's daughter's house. Located in the picturesque town of Hatton, near Kotagala, this charming home became our base for the adventure. The excitement of exploring Devon Falls was palpable as we set off on foot, knowing the viewpoint was just a short walk away.

Reaching the Devon Falls Viewpoint
From my sister's house, it’s an easy walk to the primary viewpoint of Devon Falls. As you stroll through the quaint pathways, the anticipation builds with each step. However, if you’re looking for the most spectacular view, head to the entrance of Kattu Mariyamman Kovil / Thiruvetkattu Sri Muthu Mariyamman Temple, located at Pathana on the left side of the Awissawella-Hatton-Nuwara Eliya Hwy road. Descend the staircase from here, and you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama of the falls cascading down the rocks.

The Majestic Beauty of Devon Falls
Devon Falls, also known as the "Veil of the Valley," stands at an impressive height of 97 meters. As you gaze upon the waterfall, the sight of water tumbling gracefully over the rocks, surrounded by lush greenery, is truly mesmerizing. The cool mist in the air and the soothing sound of the water create a serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and reflection.
