Introduction
Every developer knows how constant repetition of codes can be a pain in the neck. As a matter of fact, it slows down the development process and can take forever to complete a project. There are tons of common tasks that require repetition during the development process, these include optimizing images, running tests, moving files around and a host of others. These, in fact, can be very tedious and time consuming but the possibility of having these tasks automated can be of a great relief. Buddy presents a platform that not only help developers simplify the development process, but also ensures a seamless experience while doing that. Buddy has been around for a while and its platform has come to gain recognition within the tech sector. With partners like Google, Microsoft, Github and Amazon, Buddy has established trust amongst its users as a good foundation and canvas for development. Its auto scaling feature makes it possible for projects to be uploaded to public networks. Over 7000 developers across 120 countries rely on Buddy for day to day integration with all kind of systems.
The platform was born out of the desire to bring a scalable solution to software development's repetitive and time consuming tasks. Companies invest into building large DevOps infrastructure all in a bid to ensure faster operations. This end up being very costly and requires constant supervision. Scaling of this DevOps infrastructure has detrimental effects on automation metrics such as time from development to deployment, mean time to recovery and eventually availability of the product. Focusing on these is bad for business as these organizations can only go as far as their IT leads them. In a bid to solve these problems, Buddy introduced a three way system:
i. The open DevOps marketplace
ii. Private automation grid
iii. Shared automation grid
With the Open DevOps Marketplace, Buddy aims at extending accessibility to complex applications and multi cloud workflows by giving access to third party developers who can carry out their own actions within the buddy ecosystem and make it available in the marketplace whether free or paid for other developers to access and integrate into their automation or workflow. The possibilities are endless with this as developers can cut through the chase of repetitive tasks by getting a solution in the marketplace available for everyone as they can focus more on getting the final product ready for deployment.
The Private Automation Grid is more concerned with ensuring auto scalable infrastructure for developing and deploying automated functions while the Shared Automation Grid aims at offloading high-intensive automation tasks to available users that have the resources to take them.
Uniqueness
What then makes Buddy unique from other platforms?
The Buddy platform is designed in such a way that the user has an interactive experience while using the features. The UI makes creating and implementing automation operations simple and quick. There are no excessive overhead costs and fees. Buddy helps also in automating the development of blockchainops.
Token and ICO Details
Looking to utilize the blockchain technology in its decentralized automation platform, Buddy is now trying to tokenize the app development automation industry. The introduction of the BUD token will spell a major milestone for this industry. The ERC-20 compatible coin based on the Ethereum platform will help drive the automation marketplace by creating powerful positive feedback loops to efficiently alter the stance of the entire automation market. The token will serve five major functions which includes:
- Ensuring a secure and transparent platform
- Providing a true and powerful means of exchange
- Ensuring strong economic stance powered by incentives for participants
- Enforce the authority of the platform
- Enhance the platforms network.
The Token will be used by developers to publish addons to the DevOps marketplace while experts will utilize it in providing semi automated services such as code audits and certification. 1 BUD will be equivalent to 0.0002 ETH and a total supply of 300 million to 470 million BUD will be available during the sale period. The latter number depends on the bonuses that the Crowdsale will incur. A total of 500 million to 700 million BUD tokens will ever be created.
The pre-ICO ran June 15 2018 to end July 16 2018. The main ICO will also run within the same timeline as the pre-ICO. 60% of BUD accrued during the ICO period will be allocated to contributors who bought the token, 20% will be allocated the buddy team while 15% will be reserved for future holders. 4% will be reserved for advisors, legal teams and bounty purposes. To ensure the platform kickstarts on a good note 1% of the buddy token is reserved for community promos. Don't miss your opportunity to be a part of this amazing technology.
Roadmap
Buddy development dates as far back as the 3rd quarter of 2016 when the Buddy beta was launched. The beta testing ended in the 4th quarter of 2016 when the buddy enterprise was launched. Further development on the platform continued form the 1st quarter of 2017 all through to the 4th quarter of 2017. By the 4th quarter of 2017, the proof of concept of the blockchain ops using automation pipelines occured. The 3rd quarter of 2018 is when the tokensale will take place followed by the launch of the blockchainops by the 4th quarter of 2018. The privation automation grid will b e functional by the 1st quarter of 2019 as well as the Devops marketplace. The 2nd quarter of 2019 will see the distributed blockchain as a service as well as experts services on the devops marketplace. The Dapps OS and the sandbox template universe will be launched by the 3rd quarter of 2019 and the shared automation grid will be launched by the 4th quarter of 2019.
