Psalm of devotion to God: May your unfailing love come to me, LORD, your salvation, according to your promise. Psalm 119:41

The Psalm 119 is a psalm that teaches that the blessed life, the beautiful, sensible, and happy life according to Aristotle, is in the fidelity to the law, but it must be remembered that the law is not only the fulfillment of the commandments, because as the prophet Moses taught with wisdom: "The LORD commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the LORD our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today" Deuteronomy 6:24.
Psalm 119 teaches that without the spiritual gift of fear of God, the law is void, and has no value as an ethical or moral code. The common sense, as a faculty of the mind, that is necessary to interpret the meaning and scope of the law is born from this fear. This is why Psalm 119, which is a psalm dedicated to the study of the law, is also a psalm of adoration and devotion to God.
And like most psalms, Psalm 119 is also a reminder of many moments in the history of the people of Israel. Like when Solomon asked to God in dreams for a heart capable of listening in the sacred place of Gabaon; in other words, Solomon asked God to radiate his perfect love (Agape) to him. Through the grace of love, the law reached its fullness in King Solomon.
This is why Psalm 119 is a reminder of this request of Solomon, of how necessary the grace from above is, of that spiritual love that nourishes the souls of men:
"May your unfailing love come to me, LORD,
your salvation, according to your promise;
then I can answer anyone who taunts me,
for I trust in your word.
Never take your word of truth from my mouth,
for I have put my hope in your laws.
I will always obey your law,
for ever and ever" Psalm 119:41-44.
What this devotional Psalm teaches in summary is that there is no greater good than the worship of God and the fidelity to his law, the source of all the blessings from above.
