Luke 6:41-42
It can be our nature for us to easily point out the wrong and brokenness of others as this is because of our physical eyes are being made to look in front. But thankfully God has also made a thing called reflections (be it water, mirror or even within our mind) so that we can look at ourselves.
It is important for us to notice, to acknowledge and to embrace our own failure, problems, negativity, brokenness and such. Everyone is equally broken and everyone is never perfect. We are always tested with pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth; which are the most basic sins that plague humanity. I acknowledge myself to have been broken with all of these especially being sloth, lust and glutonny.
Of course, acknowledging our brokenness is not easy as it requires a lot of strength and wisdom, and is very spiritual to work on our conscience. Once we have acknowledged them, then we are able to bring them before the Lord, to shine before our true self, our brokenness, seeking forgiveness from him.
The holy spirit will help us to face it with the Grace of God. God will help us to learn to forgive ourselves as he has already did so through Jesus Christ even when we are yet to be in this world. It is then we have the shape of power and will to revive, to repent and to breakthrough as a better person which will always seek betterment of ourselves and others for the Glory of God.
Lastly, we shall always remember, we are always tested and tempted. So it's important to continue to keep ourselves in Him and Him in us.
