Where Is Your Heart?
He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. Ecclesiastes 5:10 (KJV)
Love is defined as a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person. It can be very destructive if this feeling or desire is wrongly placed in material things. The New International Version quotes the opening Scripture as, “Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.” As a child of God, love people and use material things to bless the lives of others. Don’t love material things and use people; this can lead you to commit all manner of evil for the love of money is the root of all evil, 1 Timothy 6:10. Money and wealth come from God and any child of God who desires to acquire money and wealth should first love God wholeheartedly and promote His Kingdom and God will enable them have those riches. Never allow wealth or riches dominate your heart; using them to enhance the Kingdom of God and the lives of people prepares a beautiful place for you in heaven, Luke 12:32-34.
