Perfect Law

Preserved in perpetuity upon two slabs of stone
The Four and Six commandments as the Ten that they are known
Have been the true foundation of this universe we're in
Defining by their presence all that contradicts as sin

But though they are foundational to life's existence here
So very few can even name them in their proper sphere
Of order application and to whom they do apply
Nor have they any interest in this sinful life to try

But if they understood if every soul could realize
The greatness of importance that they have in Jesus' eyes
How everyone in judgement will be judged by what they knew
About this perfect Law of God and what they chose to do

Then maybe words and actions that today they choose to speak
Would gain strength in conviction not remain obscure and weak
And many of the wrongs we see performed by men today
Would be revealed for what they are condemned and cast away

And right would be revealed as right not shackled by what's wrong
Not hidden in the platitudes promoted by the throng
That say there is no Judgement Day nor God that we should fear
Who soon will execute His plan to make the record clear

That He alone is righteous He alone is pure and true
And He's the only One Who did and does what we must do
In keeping very perfectly His changeless Law of life
That has for all these centuries been challenged through the strife

That Satan and his angels have been stirring in the hearts
Of men and women who've denied down to their inmost parts
The Law of Love and righteousness Christ came for us to live
That promises eternity He wants so much to give

If we will only listen to His Spirit everyday
And focus on His perfect Law that is His perfect Way
Of living and of sharing life with God and all mankind
That's found within the heart and soul and planted in the mind

Of every living being in this universe we see
Where we will be ambassadors throughout eternity
To share with every living world how great God's Law has been
Since we in love embraced the One Who saved us from our sin
