Finally Some GPP Success

In addition to winning a seat to the Fanduel Live NFL final, a 100 person event in December with first prize of $1 million, I won some side GPPs for nice profit on top of big wins on my cash games teams.

However, I didn’t go hard in GPPs like I planned to last week. There was a huge influx of news pouring in Sunday and I needed to prioritize my cash game lineups over entering the millionaire maker and other Draftkings GPPs 100+ times. If I did have time to enter, I think I would have done decently with many variations of Drew Brees stacks, but I wouldn’t have landed on the exact perfect combination to win any of the really big GPPs.

But it was really nice to have the gigantic week I’ve been hoping would finally hit. Winning big in cash on every site and also booking some GPP scores is very satisfying, and it’s nice to have such a smooth start to NFL before NBA starts.

Draftkings: +51668.60

Everything worked out perfectly on Draftkings.

Lineup for slates that ended Monday (Thursday-Monday and Sunday-Monday):
QB Cam Newton 30.98 lock
RB Le'Veon Bell 18.8 lock
RB LeSean McCoy 37.2 lock
WR Tavon Austin 5.6 lock
WR John Brown 10.4 lock
WR Cameron Meredith 25.3 lock
TE Charles Clay Q 10.2 lock
FLEX David Johnson 37.8 lock
DST Bills 6 lock
TOTAL FANTASY POINTS: 182.28

Lineup for Main slate:

Both lineups did very well, and I had a couple Drew Brees GPP lineups that finished high in GPPs.

Fanduel: +$18825.24 and $53k live seat

all contests other than the live final since tracker doesn’t import that

woohoo!

Drew Brees at home, never change.

Made one minor mistake in cash games: I knew Lesean McCoy would be extremely highly owned, but I had Demarco Murray projected higher, so on the main slate I split lineups between them. My Demarco team lost money, the rest of my teams won. Going into the day I told myself I would just lock in McCoy and not overthink, but couldn’t help myself because the split was too perfect. Still happy to book the winnings alongside the seat equity, but probably should have made an extra 6-10k if I avoided splitting into a Demarco lineup.

Yahoo: +$26091.30

Got my revenge on Condia by scooping him in a bunch of head to head contests.

Win far more than I lost last week. I decided to use one lineup with Marcus Mariota over Cam Newton because every other position was exactly who I wanted. I needed the extra money to work in David Johnson who I thought was a must play where available. Since he played Monday Night, I couldn’t play him on the Morning only and Sunday only slates, but on the Thursday and Main slates I tossed in Mariota to free up the necessary salary for him.

Gambling is funny though. Last week I thought Condia made large mistakes on Yahoo but I lost to him. This week I thought he set better but I won every match against him. Just how it goes sometimes.

Fantasyaces: +$11298.57

Same as last week, set the site nuts on aces. Very happy with the lineups I found there this week and think I did a much better job than I did in the few weeks where I was consistently losing. Thrilled to be up 5 figures on there for the season now.

FantasyDraft: +$5671.38 (roughly $7k in buyins)

Made Condia quit playing on fantasydraft so lost out on a little bit of profits since he wasn’t there, but still set the best lineup out of the regulars and won a lot. I know that when I do have a losing week here I’ll probably get cleaned out as most of my action is in 50/50s instead of head to head matches, but having a really big season on fantasydraft so far with 6 winning weeks in a row will help cushion any bad weeks.

BlitzFantasy: +$2933.33 (1/3 of $8800 profit)

Bilzerian’s lineup was much weaker than it was in week 5. Think the lineup we came up with was probably over 70% to win. Unfortunate he only chose to sit for $10k this week instead of $25k like last week, but I don’t expect the gimmick to continue throughout the year. Safe bet he quits playing soon.

Overall: +$116,488.42 and $53k equity live seat

Monster week. I’m not going to include the live seat in the weekly total blog since I’m not guaranteed that much money. I’m guaranteed $10k by playing the live final, but could win as much as $1 million for first, so I’ll just settle up the live seat equity after it takes place in December.

2016 NFL Season Overall: +$268,422.49 and 1 Live Final Seat

Excellent. Running well above EV for the season now. Expectation at this point is probably around 40% of what I’m up and no live final seats. Let’s keep it going in week 7!

Wow, nice win. Congrats!

Congrats on the awesome week!

I can't play on Yahoo since I live in FL, so don't know what prices were but some of Condia's choices seem odd to me for a cash lineup, such as DeSean Jackson...am I just wrong?

Desean was ok on yahoo, same price as Cobb. I preferred Cobb, but given Jordan Reed was out I don't think going Desean was awful.

What I do think was awful was going Rodgers for the equivalent of $200 cheaper on DK than Cam. Huge equity punt doing that. But Mike Wallace was a good play in theory (probably too expensive on yahoo), as were the rest of his choices outside of Rodgers.

TBH I just think Condia is pretty bad. He makes unforgivable mistakes weekly, and on a site like yahoo where you can't make afford any room for error due to weird pricing he gives up too much edge to compete. I don't think I can sit him on fanduel cause pricing is really tight there, but probably have enough edge to sit on DK too.

Congrats bud. Weird randomly stumbling across this.. Was hoping Liquidpoker.net DFS thread would've been a little better/more popular. You ever do any podcasts or anything BEFORE contests start? I'd love to hear some of your thought's.
