High school rhythms and a new form of alliances. Hmm!!!
It has been a while I talked about my diary but today, we will be taking a walk together on that adventure of mine.
It's diary time...
Okay guys, let's leave the past for the past and let's face the future. So, making new friends was my first mission after my school guardian decided that I should stay with him for a while so that he can sort out a new hostel for me.
The mysteries of each hostel in my new school has not been revealed to me yet but sooner or later I will be lectured about the mysteries.
Let's wait and see if the mysteries will be revealed today or not.
Yeah, back to the friends' zone. The school had resume properly with classes getting busier and lectures making the cover page of all talks in the mouth of every student. I was supposed to attend classes in order to prepare myself for good grades, instead, I was on a hunt for new friends. That seemed lame and stupid but trust me, I never regret that decision of mine. Boarding schools in my country are known for camping bullies who use the post of senior to unleash hell on junior students.
I knew I was making the right decision with my quest for finding new friends who will be ready to back each other up if anything is to go wrong.
I finally got myself a friend whose name is Jamilu. Jamilu is a Hausa boy from Kano state and he is also from a wealthy family because his father is a provision store owner and his mom owns a boutique. Jamilu is scared of every single person in the school, even his grade's mates. I thought it was because he was he an ajebo child (wealthy kid), I never knew it was because his parents lied to him that in boarding school, there are monsters that will discipline you when you cross the line.
On this fateful day that I knew his weakness, we were playing football when a senior interfered and played our ball away into the bushes. We all kept quiet because we knew what the seniors are capable of doing as they are classified as bullies. After the senior played the ball into the bushes, Jamilu started begging for forgiveness and he started vowing not to play football again.
I was surprised at what was coming out of his mouth. So, I quickly drag him into a corner to ask him why his freight was top class and then he told me about the pieces of advice his parents gave to him before coming to school.
Pathetic right? I thought as much.
We left the football site to our hostel to relax and then my school guardian called me for some talks. He saw what happened on the football pitch when a senior came to play our ball away. He looked at me with pitiful eyes and then he said "I guess it's time for you to know about a lot of mysteries of this school".
Sweeeet...
Join me next week on The journey of my reality to find out the mysteries we all have been waiting for.
