Estava eu como de costume almoçando no self-service quando chegou a hora de pagar. E aí como sempre, dou o papelzinho com o consumo anotado, a atendente pega a calculadora e começa a somar.
Foi quando me veio à memória um programa que traduz um texto de uma língua para a outra simplesmente apontando a câmera, que é o Google Tradutor.
E aí me veio a idéia: ora, porque não usar essa mesma tecnologia de reconhecer texto em imagens para números. E além de reconhecê-los, fazer a soma ali na hora? Poupando-nos de ter que digitar eles na calculadora pra depois somar?
Que beleza heim. Então fui pesquisar pra ver se alguém já tinha tido essa ideia antes, e se já tinham implementado algum aplicativo que execute ela. E encontrei. O nome do danado é PhotoMath. Muito interessante, ele além de somar, resolve equações e mostra o passo a passo da resolução.
Então pra quem quer se poupar do trabalho de somar a conta do restaurante ou do self service, esse programinha pode ser uma ajuda e tanto, principalmente pra quem precisa fazer várias contas por dia.
