Do you find that you get depressed in the mornings or at night? Or that your mood fluctuates a lot throughout the day? Do you handle setbacks well some days but are prone to serious negative mood changes (anger, frustration, anxiety) on other days?

There's a very good chance your diet is effecting your ability to stabilize your emotions. Not only are the types of food you eat important, but also WHEN you choose to eat them. Would no more than 2 hours between meals slow down the rate the body metabolizes fat (not that that's necessarily a bad thing if the carbohydrate intake is low)?

it doesn't necessarily need to be a full 'meal' every two hours, it could be something smaller to stabilize blood sugar. eating smaller more frequent meals rather than a few larger ones spaced out would be a better idea if the goal is to shed fed, as having long periods of time without eating puts the body in starvation mode which stores fat and burns muscle. as a general rule eating more frequently speeds up the metabolism :)
