Digibyte and Minecraft

After seeing a huge surge in Digibyte, I decided to start on some basic research to answer some main questions.

The first thing I wanted to confirm was a rough estimate of how many people still played Minecraft. As of February 2017 that number was 55 million logging into the game throughout the month which is a staggering number.

Then I wanted to start figuring out ways Minecraft players could currently earn real FIAT currency if at all. The first link shows ways private servers can generate revenue if there is a big enough player base and other means. There are also the more known ways of creating money in games through streaming but I couldn't find anything that had an integrated system like Digibyte is planning to do on their private server which in a few days. The second link I posted shows a post from 2015 a post on the Minecraft forums indicating interest but no rational way this could get funded. That answer might be Digibyte....

Now, the last thing I wanted to really look into was Digibyte itself. After listening to this great talk from Jared Tate (the founder and creator of DGB https://twitter.com/jaredctate?lang=en) about how Digibyte works, I think it will scale fine compared to the issues BTC is currently running into.

None the less, I think this could be a huge investment opportunity with even this basic research into this one tangent of what Digibyte is doing in the grand scheme of things.
