New Book Empowers Nigerians with Information to Initiate Digital Transformation of Country's Public Service
September 14, 2016 - Nigerians harbouring a desire for change in their economy now have an insightful resource to look to following launch of the book, Digital Transformation: Evolving a Digitally Enabled Nigerian Public Service.
Written by Digital Transformation Expert, Jacobs Edo, Digital Transformation is a dynamic resource about building a stronger Nigerian economy that works for everyone through the implementation of technology solution concepts. In this book, Edo imparts his knowledge and experience in the ICT field and also enlightens readers to the rampant problems in the country. The author also outlines steps to be taken to digitize the Nigerian Public Services as well as strategies to digitise public infrastructure and services
Digital Transformation is Edo's debut book but the depth and clarity of the resource gives no indication to his experience. When asked about the motivation for writing the book, he said: "I want to help steer government policies in the right direction, so as to help alleviate growing poverty within the population. By renovating Nigerian public service, the resultant effect should rub off positively on the populace."

Digital Transformation has been endorsed by several Nigerian professionals including Nigerian Development Politician, Esema Aguse. He said: "Edo doesn’t only make a case for the need for digitization in Nigeria’s public service with the goals of efficiency, in system and people, but also goes through a very wide and comprehensive range of associated issues, from its implementability through its wealth creating opportunities and to how it can create values and enhance national social and cultural goals."
Nigeria is ranked as the third richest country in Africa; however, with 70 per cent of the population surviving on less than $1.25 per day, there seems to be a huge disparity in comparison to the wealth of the country's natural resources.
Digital Transformation is a perfectly timed resource that will encourage readers to join in moving into the future of a better and stronger Nigeria that will curb illiteracy, ignorance and disease. But although primarily written to help improve the digitalization of the Nigerian Public Service, Digital Transformation is an excellent resource for developing countries who want to start their own digital transformation.
The book is available in Kindle, Paperback and Hardcover format on Amazon. For further details or to purchase a copy of the book, please visit: https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Transformation-Evolving-Digitally-Nigerian/dp/0997762470/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473670385&sr=8-1&keywords=jacobs+edo.
