This picture was inspired by a psychedelic journey I went on while on the coast of Oregon (specifically Newport, where the source photo was taken).

Before television, radio, internet, and an understanding of fire, our ancestors surely stood at the ocean's shore and watched with wonder the ebb and flow of the terrifying and terrific tide. Their flummoxed faces fixed in fascination facing a formidable firmament of frenzied fractal fluid fountaining forth from fathomless fields of folding foam, I can only imagine what they must have thought as they stared at the end of the world.

The background is representative of television static, while the primary colors in the middle symbolize balance, and the primary significance of art to humankind. Within the convergence of the primary colors, you may be able to make out the elegant and poignant shape of a quarter-rest, symbolizing the ultimate contentment and peace we will all once again experience when we again taste unity. When we finally find our way back to God.
