A Day in the Life of a Digital Nomad in Tanzania

Food, Files, and Foot Care

Yesterday was a typical day in the life of a digital nomad, filled with a mix of work, unexpected interruptions, and a bit of exploration. Let’s start with food, because who doesn’t love a good meal?

While engrossed in formatting my first USB stick, a delicious surprise arrived at my desk: Indian-style rice with vegetables. It was a delightful interruption to my tech-focused evening. Check out this photo of the mouthwatering dinner!

After dinner, I retreated to my room and to end my day with some podcasts and music. Today, I’m focused on formatting more USB sticks and deciding on the best file system. I'm torn between F2FS, exFAT, and UDF. Any suggestions? Let me know in the comments!

Beyond the tech world, my foot is slowly recovering, but I’m still hesitant to venture into the dusty streets of africa. I’m playing it safe to avoid any potential infections.

While searching for internet yesterday, I stumbled upon a charming local cafe (Check out my post from yesterday). They had this incredible wood carving that simply said "Coffee". It was too good not to capture. Tanzania has made significant strides in the past year and a half, and I'm impressed with the progress. Could it be the next tourist hotspot? Only time will tell, but the people here are certainly working hard to build a brighter future.

That’s it for today. I’ll spend the rest of the day organizing my digital life. As a nomad, managing storage is a constant challenge. It feels like playing a complex game of chess.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Greetings from Kilimanjaro!
